The current BS4737 standard for Intruder Alarm Systems is being replaced.

The new PD6662:2004 standard comes into effect from 1st October 2005. Until then, there will be dual running of the two standards.

As you may be working on the design of projects that will be completing after that date, we urge you to take the time to read and download the new sample specifications and notes in our Consultant section.

In addition to the change from BS4737 to PD6662:2004, the DD243 requirements governing setting, unsetting and signalling for systems requiring police response is also changing to DD243:2004.

Comparison notes for this and the PD6662:2004 requirements are also to be found in our Consultant section.

We will be pleased to assist with any design or compliance issues you may have with any of the new requirements. Please click here to goto the general request for information form. Thank you for your intrest.
